English for musicians and music teachers

- Do you have to use English in your work and you’ve realised you aren't as prepared as you thought you were?
- Perhaps you are a school or university music teacher and have international students in your class who you need to speak to in English?
- Maybe you are a music student and are planning to study or work abroad?

- Does your child enjoy music? Would they benefit from a combination of English and music training?

Don't worry! Help is at hand! There are plenty of English teachers around but few, if any, of them have specialist music knowledge in both Portuguese and English.

I'm currently in my final year of my degree in Music Education (Licenciatura em Educação Musical) at the Escola Superior de Educação, IPP, Porto. I have completed modules in music theory, vocal techniques,  instrumental practice, ensemble music, choir, music pedagogy, conducting and history of music, among others. I have years of experience singing in choirs and playing in amateur and semi-professional musical ensembles.

Over the years, I have developed a wide range of musical knowledge in both Portuguese and English. So, I’m well equipped to help you express yourself musically and help you avoid classic PT»EN translation traps.

My instruments are clarinet, voice and piano, plus basic guitar and percussion.
